Ashley Women’s Center provides a service to our patients, not to the insurance companies; therefore, responsibility for all charges rests with the patient regardless of insurance coverage. If your treatment is covered by insurance, be sure to give us full information about your coverage. We do allow credit foranticipated insurance benefits for prenatal care and certain surgical procedures.
Ashley Women’s Center earnestly tries to hold the line against rising costs for medical care. Since prompt payment allows us to reduce our office costs and to keep our fees lower, we must request payment at the time of your visit. For your convenience, we do accept VISA, MasterCard and Discover. We do not accept American Express.
If you have a problem paying your bill, please speak with someone in our Billing Department to set up a payment plan. Ashley Women’s Center is always willing to work with anyone who shows good faith in meeting responsibilities.

Insurance
At Ashley Women’s Center, we welcome all forms of health insurance including traditional plans, HMOs, PPOs, and Medicare. However, for us to file your claim or accept your co-payment, you must present your insurance card when you check in for your appointment. If you forget your card, you should plan to pay a $50 fee that day and then bring in or fax your insurance card so that we may file your visit for you. Once your insurer pays for the visit, we will reimburse you. Please note that refund checks are issued on the 15th of each month and that we need to have received payment from your insurance company at least two weeks before that date in order to process your refund. If you cannot pay the $50 fee, then you will need to reschedule your appointment. If your insurance requires co-payments or deductibles or lists certain procedures as uncovered, you will need to pay for these at time of service. Check with your insurance provider if you are unsure of your plan’s policies and benefits. Your insurance company can also verify that Ashley Women’s Center is a participating provider. If you are unsure whether we accept your insurance, please contact our Insurance Department.
